In celebration of Diwali, visit City View Shopping Centre, where our Centre Court will host a colourful display area of lights, delicious treats and festive entertainment for all celebrating this special time.
Centre Court’s Diwali promotion invites you to join us for free-of-charge sampling and tasters of Gorima’s selection of delicious Diwali treats, which include a wide variety of tasty and traditional sweetmeats and eats, dips and sauces for you to try. The colourful festivities start on Saturday the 22nd of October and run until Diwali, 26th of October, so join City View in Celebrating Diwali and be a part of the festive fun. Delicious treats and Eastern entertainment, including stunning Eastern dancers, demonstrations, Henna art and a GORGEOUS Eastern fashion show displaying Rosewood Boutique's latest eastern wear on Sunday 23nd at 11:00! Durbans Best Dish
City View Shopping Centre recently ran “Who has Durban’s Best Dish?”, recipe competition which ran over the month of September, inviting shoppers to share their most creatively traditional recipes and stand a chance to win their share of R10 000 worth of prizes! Each week at City View’s Centre Court, the Durban Hospitality Institute partnered with the Centre in preparing a different traditional dish focusing on a different South African culture.
The cooking demonstration, hosted by Durban Hospitality Institute’s head chefs, allowed shoppers to taste various dishes from a different culture each week, as well as learn how to prepare these creative, yet very traditional dishes. Traditional dancing, cultural performers, food sampling and audience competitions all added to each week’s Heritage celebrations at City View and drew a crowd of food enthusiasts, shoppers and those just thoroughly enjoying the entertainment each week. Fathers Day Promotion
Shoppers were invited to spoil Dad over the month of June, in celebration of Father’s Day, spending R150.00 or more at any City View store, would qualify them for a free Father’s Day token, as well as an entry into our “Spoil Dad” competition. Between the 1 – 19th of June saw our shoppers receiving their free Father’s day token on presentation of their R150.00 till slip. Shoppers received their free gift, a City View branded bottle opener keychain, as well as an entry into our CITY VIEW ”Spoil Dad” competition, when visiting the Centre Management Office. With awesome prizes up for grabs, such as a television set, Father’s Day hampers, a cell phone hamper, gift vouchers and lots more, the competition saw an enormous amount of entries and resulted in 6 very lucky City View Dads!

Mothers Day Promotion
Calling all moms…. be pampered, spoilt and treated at City View Shopping Centre this Mother’s Day weekend. Easter Promotion
Easter was celebrated in a BIG way this year, with an Enchanted Easter Garden created in our Centre court, being home to all our Easter activities and competitions. Within this area the Easter bunny invited our family shoppers to hop inside the enchanted garden, meet the City View Easter Bunny, and find out about all the fantastic competitions and activities taking place, not to mention, the EGG-credible prizes up for grabs this Easter for City View shoppers.
The enchanted garden was home to various Easter activities running over the month of April and specifically over the weekends before and including Easter weekend. From creative cookery, where children were invited to put on the City View chef gear and make their own Easter treats to Easter hunts and Easter entertainers, including stiltwalkers, magicians and various others, our shoppers found EVERYTHING they were are looking for this Easter at City View Shopping Centre.

What's your dream? Birthday Competition
Congratulations to the winner of our "Whats your dream?" competition held ad City View in September.
Anisa Chippa, mother to 3 year old Husna, dreams of getting her daughter back to good health and helping her to survive a life threatening illness. Anisa entered our birthday competition with the aim of winning the R10,000 prize money. She did just that. Anisa won the hearts of the judges with her inspiring story and thus the money was awarded to her to put towards the medical expenses they will incurr with Husna's illness.
Anisa's daughter had recently been diagnosed with severe aplastic anaemia (bone marrow failure) and is receiving treatment at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital.

Celebrate Soccer at City View
Well done to the winners of the Celebrate Soccer shopper competition. Shoppers had a chance to win one of 10 cell phones sponsored by MTN as well as a R250 City View gift voucher. In order to enter, shoppers had to spend R150 at any City View store and drop the till slip in the entry boxes provided.

Cute as a Button: Baby and Toddler Photo Competition Winner
Congratulations goes to Cael Jordan Lupke (10 months old) and excited parents Michelle and Carl, winner of our Cute as a Button Baby Competition.
Cael was a firm favourite amongst the judges and walks (or crawls) away with the R10,000 prize!
City View would also like to congratulate runner up finalists; Tayla Boyle (20 months), Mark Mc Camon (24 months), Taylor Rae Dickson (11 weeks) and Sande Mnguni (11 months).
City View Management handed over R3,280 to the The Robinhood Foundation from the proceeds raised by the R20 entry fee.
